Selection Procedure

Other Important Information

Service Bond: Candidates selected for Permanent Posts shall execute a Service Agreement Bond of Rs. 5,00,000/- (Five Lakhs) to serve for a minimum period of 5 years with HSL from the date of joining.
Posting Location: All vacancies are for Visakhapatnam except where mentioned. Officers selected could be transferred to any other station for project up to 2 years in one stretch. Officers may also be required to undertake outstation duties to Delhi/Yards/Vendor Premises as required.
FTC Contract Termination: The contract may be terminated by either party by giving three months’ notice in writing or in lieu by payment of three months’ notice pay.
Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/PWD as per Government rules; Ex-servicemen: relaxed to the extent of service in armed forces, but resultant age after deducting service period should not exceed prescribed limit by more than 3 years; Internal candidates (permanent employees): 5 years relaxation.
Internal Candidates: Minimum experience in lower grade relaxed by 1 year; upper age limit relaxed by 5 years; no application fee.
Private Sector Candidates: Must be working in organizations with minimum annual turnover of Rs. 100 crores and drawing CTC as specified per post.
Government/PSU Candidates: Must submit NOC from present organization along with application (for permanent posts only).
FTC Duration: Project Superintendent & Dy. Project Superintendent: 3 years extendable by 1+1 year or till 60 years of age, whichever is earlier. Dy. Project Officers: 2 years extendable by 1 year subject to satisfactory performance.
Medical Fitness: All appointments are subject to medical fitness as per HSL Rules. Selected candidates must submit medical test reports prior to joining.
Marks Calculation: Aggregate percentage of marks shall NOT be rounded off (e.g., 64.99% not to be rounded off as 65%). CGPA/OGPA to be converted as per university formula or multiplied by 10 if no formula exists.
