Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:

Online Preliminary Examination (Objective Test): 100 questions, 100 marks, 60 minutes. Sections: English Language (30Q/30M/20min), Quantitative Aptitude (35Q/30M/20min), Reasoning Ability (35Q/40M/20min). Candidates must qualify each section with minimum cut-off marks set by IBPS.
Online Main Examination (Objective + Descriptive): Objective: 170 questions, 200 marks, 160 minutes. Sections: Reasoning (40Q/60M/45min), General/Economy/Banking/Digital/Financial Awareness incl. RBI circulars (50Q/60M/35min), English Language (40Q/20M/35min), Data Analysis & Interpretation (40Q/60M/45min). Descriptive Paper: 2 questions (Essay & Comprehension), 25 marks, 30 minutes in English. Penalty: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
Personality Test: Non-qualifying but mandatory for eligibility to appear in Interview. May be conducted in proctored mode or at identified examination centres.
Interview: Conducted by Participating Banks, coordinated by Nodal Bank. Total marks: 100. Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD). Weightage: Online Main Exam 80% + Interview 20%.
Provisional Allotment: Based on merit-cum-preference, considering actual vacancies reported by Participating Banks for FY 2027-28, subject to Government reservation guidelines.

Click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” and enter basic information. Note the Provisional Registration Number and Password generated.
Upload scanned copies of Photograph, Signature, Left Thumb Impression, Hand Written Declaration, SSC/SSLC/10th Certificate, and Certificate as mentioned in Clause J(ix) if applicable, as per specifications in Annexure III.
Capture and upload a live photograph through webcam or mobile phone during registration.
Carefully fill in all details in the online application form and use “SAVE AND NEXT” to verify before final submission.

Total Indicative Vacancies: 6715 (SC: 1009, ST: 502, OBC: 1816, EWS: 669, UR: 2719). PwBD: HI-73, OC-70, VI-67, ID-77.
Nationality: Indian Citizen or subject of Nepal/Bhutan or Tibetan Refugee (before 01.01.1962) or person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries with intention to permanently settle in India.
Age (as on 01.07.2026): Minimum 20 years, Maximum 30 years (born between 02.07.1996 and 01.07.2006 inclusive). Relaxation: SC/ST +5 yrs, OBC(NCL) +3 yrs, PwBD +10 yrs, Ex-Servicemen +5 yrs.
EWS Eligibility: Family gross annual income below Rs. 8 lakh; not covered under SC/ST/OBC reservation; no ownership of 5+ acres agricultural land, 1000+ sq.ft residential flat, 100+ sq.yd plot in notified municipalities, or 200+ sq.yd plot elsewhere. EWS certificate valid for 2026-27 (FY 2025-26) required.
Edit Window: 2 days after closing of registration for correction/modification of application. Correction fee: Rs. 200/- (inclusive of GST) for all categories.
Penalty for Wrong Answers: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer in both Preliminary and Main Objective Tests. No penalty for unattempted questions.
Scribe Facility: Available for eligible PwBD/specified disability candidates. Compensatory time: 20 minutes per hour of examination. Scribe must not be a candidate in CRP-PO/MT-XVI and can act as scribe for only one candidate.
Pre-Examination Training (PET): Available online for SC/ST/OBC/Minority community candidates. Attending PET does not guarantee selection.
Interview Travel Reimbursement: Eligible outstation SC/ST/PwBD candidates called for interview will be reimbursed II class to & fro railway/bus fare or actual expenses (whichever is less) on production of proof of travel.
Reserve List: Approximately 20% of vacancies under each category may be kept as reserve list, valid for one year from date of Provisional Allotment or until fresh allotment, whichever is earlier.
Validity of CRP-PO/MT-XVI: Automatically expires one year after the date of Provisional Allotment or until a fresh provisional allotment is made, whichever is earlier.
Jurisdiction: Any dispute arising out of this notification shall be subject to the sole jurisdiction of Courts situated at Mumbai.
