- Tenure: Purely on adhoc basis for 89 days or till appointment on regular basis, whichever is earlier. Extension possible after 89 days based on satisfactory work and conduct report from HoD.
- Reservation: As per Govt. of Bihar rules. Benefit of reservation is available to Bihar State domicile candidates only. Candidates from outside Bihar are not entitled to reservation benefits.
- Maximum Terms: Only one term is allowed per eligible candidate. Joining and leaving at any time counts as one term.
- Private Practice: Strictly prohibited. If found guilty, appointment shall be terminated.
- Campus Stay: Compulsory if accommodation is provided. If not provided, HRA is admissible as per rules.
- Quitting Mid-way: Minimum one month advance notice (duly recommended by HoD) is required. Failing which, the candidate must deposit one month’s emoluments to the Institute.
- No TA/DA: Not admissible for attending the interview/counselling or joining the post.
- Canvassing: In any form will lead to disqualification.
- Number of Vacancies: May increase or decrease in each department.
- Assessment: At the end of first 89 days, each Junior Resident will be assessed. Unsatisfactory performance will lead to termination of appointment.
- Work Experience: Experience in Armed Forces, Central/State Health Service, and Private Nursing Homes will be treated as equivalent to Junior Residency (Non-Academic) Adhoc 89 days.
