- Training Period: 1 Year for each trade. Stipend will be paid as per Railway Board rules. Training will be terminated after completion of apprenticeship.
- Employment Obligation: It is not obligatory on the part of the employer to offer any employment to any apprentice after completion of training, nor shall it be obligatory for the apprentice to accept any employment if offered.
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, Ex-Servicemen: 10 years, PwBD: 10 years over the upper age limit of 24 years.
- Ex-Servicemen Reservation: 10% reservation for Ex-Servicemen and their children as per categories: (A) Children of deceased/disabled Ex-Servicemen, (B) Children of Ex-Servicemen, (C) Children of Serving Jawans, (D) Children of Serving Officers, (E) Ex-Servicemen.
- PwBD: Must produce disability certificate with not less than 40% disability issued by Medical Board constituted by Central/State Government.
