Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:

There shall be No Written Test.
Selection shall be based on the percentage of marks in descending order (aggregate of marks of all subjects of all years/semesters) obtained in the prescribed qualification applicable to the trade applied for.
Preference shall be given to candidates applying for apprenticeship training for the first time.
In case of a tie in percentage of marks, the date of birth (senior by age) shall be the deciding factor. If date of birth is also the same, the candidate with a higher percentage in Matriculation shall be ranked higher.
Candidates belonging to PwBD categories who have availed relaxation in eligibility qualification marks will be considered against reserved seats in order of merit within the category.
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of merit list shall be called for Document Verification.
Only candidates declared fit in Pre-Engagement Medical Examination shall be considered for engagement.
Finally shortlisted candidates whose documents and medical fitness are found in order shall be issued an Offer of Engagement.

Other Important Information

Stipend: As prescribed under Apprentices Act 1961/1973/Apprentices Rules 1992 (as amended) and Corporation’s guidelines.
Personal Protective Equipment: Apprentices selected against codes 101, 102, 104, 105, 106 & 107 shall be provided with one pair of safety shoes and a Helmet (returnable upon completion of training), wherever applicable.
No HRA or Company Accommodation shall be provided to Apprentices.
Leave: General Leave – 32 days @ 8 days per quarter; Casual Leave – 12 days per calendar year (pro-rata); Holidays as observed in the establishment.
Insurance: Apprentices shall be covered under suitable Accident Insurance Coverage.
No Employment Obligation: Upon completion of apprenticeship, the Corporation has NO obligation to offer employment, nor can an Apprentice claim right for employment.
Eligibility Date: 30-06-2026 is the date for reckoning qualification and age criteria.
Minimum Marks: 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST and PwBD candidates for reserved seats) in prescribed qualification.
Candidates with higher qualifications such as BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA are NOT eligible.
Part-time/correspondence/distance education qualifications are NOT eligible.
Candidates who have completed 5 years after acquiring the prescribed qualification as on 30-06-2026 are NOT eligible.
Candidates can apply for only one Trade/Discipline; applications for more than one will be summarily rejected.
SC/ST/PwBD candidates appearing for Document Verification will be reimbursed single second class railway fare (distance not less than 30 KMs).
