Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:

  1. Stage 1 – Online Preliminary Examination (100 Marks): MCQ type exam of 120 minutes duration covering: GK+GS including MP GK (20 marks), Maths + Logical Reasoning (20 marks), General Hindi (20 marks), English Knowledge (20 marks), Computer Knowledge (20 marks). This is a screening test only; marks will not be counted in final merit.
  2. Stage 2 – Skill Test / Shorthand Test (100 Marks): Candidates qualifying the preliminary exam (in 1:5 ratio per vacancy per category) will be called for the skill test.
    • Stenographer Grade-II, Grade-III & Grade-III (Court Manager Staff): Hindi Stenography dictation of approx. 400 words in 5 minutes + Transcription/Typing in 30 minutes (Total 35 minutes).
    • Assistant Grade-III (English Knowing): English Stenography dictation of approx. 400 words in 5 minutes + Transcription/Typing in 30 minutes (Total 35 minutes).
  3. Minimum Qualifying Marks in Skill Test: General/OBC: 55%, SC: 45%, ST/PwD: 40%, EWS: 49.5%.
  4. Final Merit: Based on skill test marks (category-wise). In case of tie, older candidate gets preference.
  5. Document Verification: After skill test, documents will be verified before final selection.
  6. District Allotment: Through counselling based on category-wise merit and district-wise vacancies.

  • Contractual Employees: 20% posts horizontally reserved for contractual employees working for at least 5 years in equivalent or higher post in MP HC or District Courts.
  • Bond: Selected candidates must execute a bond of ₹2,00,000 and commit to serve for a minimum of 3 years. Resignation before 3 years will result in forfeiture of bond amount.
  • Eligibility Conditions: Must be Indian citizen; should not have more than one living spouse; should not have more than two children (with one born on or after 26.01.2001); must be medically fit as certified by District Medical Board.
  • Skill Test Portal Charge: Candidates qualifying for skill test must pay ₹743.40 online as portal charge to the service provider.
  • Transcription: Hindi transcription must be done in Remington Gail keyboard layout on computer provided at exam centre.
  • Error Deduction in Skill Test: 0.50 marks deducted per error. If errors exceed 120, zero marks will be awarded.
