Selection Procedure

- Applications will be screened based on academic achievements (minimum 75% marks or ≥ 7.5 CGPA/SGPA until the previous year/semester from AICTE/UGC approved College/Universities).
- In the event of a large number of applications, NPOL will adopt shortlisting criteria to restrict the number of candidates called for interaction, based on academic achievements.

- Internship Duration: 06 months commencing from 01 July 2026.
- Stipend: Total Rs. 30,000/- paid in two equal installments – Rs. 15,000/- after 3 months and Rs. 15,000/- after 6 months. No increment during the period.
- No Stipend/Certificate: If the intern leaves before completing the full 6-month duration, no stipend or completion certificate will be issued.
- Extension: Internship beyond 6 months may be considered without payment of stipend for the extended period.
- No Allowances: Candidates are not entitled to Dearness Allowance, Transport Facility, Residential Accommodation, CGHS, Medical reimbursement, etc.
- Leave: No leave other than sick leave (with valid Medical Certificate) will be granted.
- No Employment Right: Offer of internship does not confer any right for employment/absorption in DRDO.
- Confidentiality: Candidates must strictly follow the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923 and laboratory rules. An undertaking must be submitted upon selection.
- Canvassing: Any canvassing or personal follow-up to influence the selection process will lead to immediate cancellation of candidature.
- Suppression of Facts: Suppression of facts will lead to disqualification at any stage.
- NPOL’s Right: NPOL reserves the right to change vacancy positions or selection criteria at any point without assigning any reason.
