Selection Procedure

- Graduation in Psychology: 10 marks (pro-rata basis)
- Higher Qualification (M.Phil/Ph.D): 10 marks
- Desirable Qualification (Certificate Courses): 12 marks (6 marks each, max 12)
- Experience: 18 marks (2 marks/year for non-JNV; 4 marks/year for JNV experience)
- No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for appearing in the Personal Talk.

- Contract Basis: Engagement is purely on contract basis for the academic session 2026-27.
- Remuneration: Rs. 44,900/- per month (consolidated). All taxes including TDS will be deducted as per Income Tax Rules.
- No Regularization: The individual shall not have any claim for regularization of services or any claim on regular sanctioned positions of the Samiti.
- Accommodation: Shared accommodation will be provided if available.
- Medical Certificate: At the time of engagement, candidates must submit a Medical Certificate of health issued by Civil Surgeon/District Medical Officer/Medical Officer of equivalent status.
- Casual Leave: One casual leave per month, subject to approval by the authority.
- Termination: Contract can be terminated by either party by giving one month notice or one month remuneration in lieu thereof.
- Confidentiality: Counselors must maintain confidentiality of student records/data. Sharing information with unauthorized persons will be treated as breach of trust and may lead to legal action and termination.
- Desirable Qualifications: Certificate courses in Cognitive Behavior Therapy Skills, ADHD, Behavioral Issues and Learning Difficulties, Building Emotional Intelligence and Resilience, Adolescence Education.
- Experience Certificate: For non-JNV experience, candidates must submit a certificate of satisfactory performance and good conduct from the previous employer in the prescribed format (Annexure-C).
- Duties: Counselors are responsible for individual/group counseling, student profiling, career guidance, hostel visits, coordination with teachers and parents, maintaining physical and digital records, attending training programs, and other duties as assigned by the Principal.
