Selection Procedure

- E0 Grade (Assistant Engineer – Electrical): Skill Test (Qualifying in nature). Total 100 marks: Practical Job Knowledge & Handling of Technical Equipment (70 marks), Safety Awareness & Computer Knowledge (20 marks), Communication Skills (10 marks). Minimum qualifying marks: 60 (General/OBC/EWS), 55 (SC/ST). Tie-breaking: Highest % in SSC → Date of Birth (elder preferred) → Application Number (earlier preferred).
- E1 Grade and above (All other posts): Personal Interview. Total 100 marks: Personality & Communication Skills (15), Subject Knowledge (50), Nature of Experience (20), General Awareness/Computer Knowledge/Additional Qualification (15). Minimum qualifying marks: 50% average in interview. Separate merit lists for UR/SC/ST/OBC/PwBD categories.
- Waiting List: Ratio 1:2 (2 waitlisted per vacancy) if vacancies ≤ 5; else 1:1. Valid for one year from empanelment.
- Pre-Employment Medical Examination: Mandatory for all selected candidates. Includes physical examination, audiometry, ECG, vision/eye test, pathology (blood & urine), X-Ray chest, lung function test, height/weight/BMI, and any other tests recommended by RCF Medical Officer.
