Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Document Verification: All eligible candidates will be called for document verification. Candidates must produce originals of all documents pertaining to educational qualification, caste, sports achievements, date of birth, minority/income certificate, and proof of identity (PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Driving Licence, etc.).
- Field Trials: Candidates will undergo sports trials. Only candidates securing 25 or more marks out of 40 (for game skill, physical fitness, and coach’s observations) shall be declared FIT and assessed for the next stage. Candidates declared UNFIT will not be assessed further.
- Assessment of Sports Achievements: Recognized sports achievements as per norms will be assessed for marks.
- Educational Qualification Assessment: Marks will be awarded for educational qualification.

- Fill in the required information in your own handwriting using blue ballpoint pen. The application should be filled in English or Hindi only.
- Affix one recent passport size photo (4 cm x 5 cm), preferably not older than 3 months, on the application form. Do not attest the photograph.
- Sign at the prescribed places and provide Left Thumb Impression (LTI) clearly.
- Indicate two marks of physical identification in the application form.
- Attach self-attested copies of all required certificates: Date of Birth, Educational Qualification, Sports Achievements, Caste Certificate (if applicable), Minority/EBC Income Certificate (if applicable).
- Attach the Examination Fee in the form of crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Demand Draft drawn in favour of Principal Financial Adviser (PFA), Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka, Bangalore-560 064, payable at Bangalore.
- Write your name and full address on the IPO/DD.

Other Important Information
- Sports Achievements Period: Recognized sports achievements should be in the current and/or immediate previous two financial years (on or after 01.04.2024). The concluding day of the championship/event shall be taken into account for validity.
- No Reservation: No post is exclusively reserved for any community such as SC/ST/OBC.
- Service Bond: Persons recruited against Sports Quota shall serve a bond period of 5 years. They can participate in professional Games/Leagues only with prior sanction of the Government.
- Probation Period: All candidates appointed through sports quota will undergo a probation period of 2 years. Unsatisfactory performance may lead to extension of probation or termination.
- Sports Performance Obligation: Candidates selected through sports quota must perform in their field of sports for a minimum period of 5 years.
- Typing Skill (Junior Clerk/Accounts Clerk): Sportspersons recruited as Junior Clerk/Accounts Clerk must pass the requisite type-writing test within 4 years of appointment. Failure to do so will result in withholding of regular increments.
- Medical Examination: The sportsperson shall fulfil the minimum medical norms for the post for which he/she is being appointed.
- No TA/DA: No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for appearing in selection/document verification/trials. Candidates must bring their own kit and make their own arrangements for stay (2-3 days may be required).
- SC/ST Travel: SC/ST candidates are eligible for free rail travel in second class for attending sports document verification/trials/next stage.
- Kabaddi (Men): Weight for Men must be below 85 kgs at the time of Trial.
