Selection Procedure:

  • The prescribed qualification is the minimum requirement and does not automatically make candidates eligible for the selection process.
  • In case a large number of applications are received, shortlisting of candidates (if required) for the interview will be done based on academic records and subject specialisation. The decision of the SAC committee shall be final.
  • The shortlisted candidates will be called for a Personal Interview.

  4. Upload mandatory documents related to essential educational qualification, Caste/Tribe certificate, PwBD certificate as applicable in prescribed format (file size less than 1 MB).
  5. Fill all mandatory fields marked with *.
  6. Click ‘SUBMIT’ button — note that no corrections are possible after submission.
  7. Upon submission, an application number will be provided; note it for future correspondence.
  8. Take a printout of the application summary before 1700 hrs on 30.09.2026.

  • The positions are temporary and for a specific duration and will not confer any claim or right for regular appointment in any DOS/ISRO Centre.

  • JRF applicants (Post Code 01 to 07) must have qualified one of: CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship), GATE, or National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments/Agencies (DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.). The result/score card must be valid as on 30.09.2026.
  • Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC-NCL; as per Govt. of India rules for Serving Central Govt. Employees, PwBD, Ex-servicemen etc.
  • JRFs will be engaged initially for ONE YEAR, extendable up to a maximum of FIVE years based on work assessment and project requirement.
  • Research Associates will be engaged initially for ONE YEAR, extendable up to a maximum of THREE years.
  • Project Scientist-I will be engaged initially for ONE YEAR or till project duration; all positions are co-terminus with the projects.
  • Selected JRFs are encouraged to register for Ph.D. from recognized Universities.
  • Candidates who have pursued professional courses through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) are not eligible.
  • Candidates employed under Central/State Government, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies etc. must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of Personal Interview.
  • PwBD candidates must submit a disability certificate in prescribed format with minimum 40% disability, issued by a duly constituted Medical Board.
  • Candidates waiting for final year/semester results as on 30.09.2026 are not eligible to apply.
  • Candidates possessing degrees from foreign universities must produce an equivalency certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi at the time of Interview.
  • Rounding-off of marks is NOT allowed.
  • Conversion of CGPA into percentage of marks is not permitted to determine eligibility.
  • Selected candidates shall be posted at SAC, Ahmedabad but may be required to work at any location in India during their tenure.
  • Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid to and fro Second/Sleeper Class Railway Fare or non-AC Bus fare or actual fare, whichever is less.
  • Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
  • No interim correspondence/phone calls will be entertained.
  • SAC/ISRO reserves the right to cancel/postpone the interview without assigning any reason.
