- Selection will be made through Walk-in Interview to be held on 24.09.2026 at 4th Floor Conference Hall, Administrative Block, SGM Hospital.
- Separate merit lists will be prepared for fresh candidates and for candidates who have already completed 3 years of senior residency.
- Fresh candidates’ list will be exhausted first; the second list will be used only thereafter.
- Appointments from the second list will be for one year only and will not be renewable.
- In case of non-availability of PG candidates, non-PG candidates with 2 years experience in the concerned specialty may be considered on ad-hoc basis (especially for Radiology, Anaesthesia, Forensic Medicine).
- If a PG SR joins against a seat filled by a Non-PG SR, the rule of Last Come First Out will be followed.

- Tenure: Appointment is on Ad-hoc basis for 89 days or till regular candidate joins, whichever is earlier. Total tenure of Senior Resident is three years including any prior SR service.
