- Contract Period: Initial contract is for ONE year, extendable up to 5 years based on satisfactory performance, mutual consent, and requirement of KRCL.
- Place of Posting: VDPD Workshop, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Selected candidates can be posted/transferred anywhere in KRCL establishment during the contract period.
- Annual Increment: Annual remuneration will increase by 4% of consolidated remuneration after completion of every year, subject to KRCL’s requirement and discretion.
- Leave: 15 days earned leave on completion of every 6 months (2.5 leaves/month, accumulative but no encashment); 8 days Casual Leave per year; weekly off and public holidays as applicable.
- Indemnity Bond: Selected candidates must execute an agreement and indemnity bond of Rs. 50,000/- on stamp paper of Rs. 100/- or more.
- No Permanent Absorption: Selected candidates will NOT be absorbed into KRCL regular service and must give an undertaking to this effect.
- No Accommodation/Food Allowance: No accommodation or food/mess allowance will be provided by KRCL.
- Notice Period: One month notice (or payment in lieu) required by either party for termination of contract.
- Joining Period: Selected candidates must join within 30 days of issuance of offer of appointment.
- Age Relaxation: 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates; 5 years for SC/ST candidates; age relaxation for Ex-servicemen is discretionary.
- Labour Code Benefits: Insurance, Payment of Gratuity, Bonus as per New Labour Code-2026, as applicable.
- TA/Travel: Complementary Railway Pass for travel on duty; road travel reimbursement as per KRCL policy. No TA/DA for attending the walk-in interview.
- Canvassing: Any kind of canvassing will result in disqualification at any stage of selection.
