Other Important Information:

  • Nature of Engagement: Contract basis for a period of one (01) year, extendable by another one year at a time. Total cumulative period shall not exceed Five years. Extension cannot be beyond the maximum age of 55 years.
  • Eligibility: Retired Short Service Commission Officers of Indian Armed Forces (Indian Army / Indian Navy / Indian Air Force / Indian Coast Guard).
  • Full-Time Basis: Consultants will be engaged on full-time basis and will not be permitted to take up any other assignment during the period of engagement.
  • Allowances: HRA is not admissible. Transport Allowance (fixed, not exceeding rate at retirement) is admissible. TA/DA on official tour as per entitlement at retirement. TDS will be deducted at source.
  • Medical Fitness: Consultant may be required to submit Medical Fitness Certificate from a recognized Physician equivalent to medical standards of defence, certified by ATS In-Charge, prior to commencement of contract.
  • Liability: AAI shall not be responsible for any compensation in the event of Death, Injury or Illness of the Consultant attributable to performance of services.
  • Leave: 1.5 days leave per completed month of service. Unavailed leave cannot be carried forward or encashed. Absence beyond admissible leave will result in proportionate deduction. Services may be terminated if absent without intimation for more than three working days.
  • Termination: AAI reserves the right to terminate services by giving one month’s notice or remuneration/fees in lieu of notice period. Consultant can also seek termination upon giving one month’s notice or remuneration/fees in lieu of notice period.
  • Duties: Assist and support Air Traffic Control (ATC) operations at Joint User Defence Airfields including ATC/SMC operations, watch extension and other ATC-related activities.
  • AAI Rights: AAI reserves the right to upgrade eligibility criteria, cancel/modify/withdraw/postpone this engagement notice if a large number of applications are received.
