Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:

Selection shall be made purely on merit basis by awarding weightage marks for academic and professional qualifications.
Total merit is calculated out of 100 marks for all posts.
Merit for Principal and PGTs:
- SSC: 20 marks
- Intermediate: 10 marks
- Bachelor’s Degree: 20 marks
- Master’s Degree: 30 marks
- B.Ed / MA (Education): 20 marks
Merit for CRTs:
- SSC: 20 marks

Merit for PETs:

CGPA grades shall be converted to percentage using the formula: Achieved CGPA × 9.5
In case of equal marks, preference is given to the elder candidate. If date of birth is also same, community-based priority is applied: ST > SC > BC-A > BC-B > BC-C > BC-D > BC-E > OC.
A District Level Selection Committee under the Chairmanship of the Collector shall conduct certificate verification and prepare the final merit list.
Shortlisted candidates are called for certificate verification at 1:3 ratio.

Recruitment is for Type-III KGBVs only, across Andhra Pradesh except East Godavari, Dr. B.R.A. Konaseema, West Godavari, Krishna, and Guntur districts.
All posts are on a contract/outsourcing and temporary basis for the academic year 2026-27 only.
Only women candidates are eligible to apply for all posts.
The medium of instruction in all KGBVs is English. Candidates must be capable of teaching in English medium.
Candidates must have studied English as one of the subjects up to graduation level.
TET Qualification: APTET is mandatory for Principals, CRTs (all subjects), and PGTs (general subjects). TET is NOT required for PET and PGTs (Vocational subjects).
Candidates who are pursuing degree final year, post-graduation, or B.Ed during 2025-26 are not eligible.
Candidates terminated from KGBVs on disciplinary grounds are not eligible.
Candidates furnishing wrong/false information will be permanently debarred from all government jobs.
Local Status: Candidates who studied 7 consecutive years (Classes 4th to 10th) in a particular district are considered local candidates of that district.
No candidate is allowed to apply in more than one district.
The appointing authority has the right to terminate candidates with poor performance at any time without prior notice.
Individuals have no right to seek regularization, Minimum Time Scale, or enhancement of honorarium.
EWS candidates must furnish an income certificate of below Rs. 8.00 Lakhs per annum issued by the competent authority.
The State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha has all rights to complete or cancel the recruitment at any point of time without prior intimation.
This notification is subject to the outcome of court cases pending before the Hon’ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh.

Agreement shall be entered on Rs. 100/- Bond paper for one academic year (2026-27).
