- Stage-I: Written Examination (Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions)
Applicable for all post codes. Total Marks: 200, Duration: Not specified individually.- General Awareness: 50 marks (25 questions × 2 marks)
- General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability: 50 marks (25 questions × 2 marks)
- Arithmetical & Numerical Ability: 50 marks (25 questions × 2 marks)

Minimum qualifying marks: 33% aggregate. No sectional cut-off. No negative marking.

- Advertisement No.: 05/26 | Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination 2026
- Mode of Application: Online only via www.apssb.nic.in. Applications through any other mode will be rejected.
- Diploma in Computer Application: Candidates applying for Post Codes 17/26, 20/26, 22/26, and 23/26 must possess a Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized Board/Institution duly recognized by the Arunachal Pradesh Council for Technical Education/AICTE.
- Age Relaxation:
- APST: Relaxable up to 5 years
- PwD/PwBD: 10 years upper age relaxation (15 years for APST PwD)
- Departmental candidates with 3 years continuous service: 5 years additional relaxation
- Ex-Servicemen: Deduction of military service period from actual age; resultant age should not exceed maximum age limit by more than 3 years
- PwBD Provisions: Scribe facility available for eligible candidates. Compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination provided to eligible PwBD/PwD candidates using scribe or eligible but not availing scribe.
- Examination Centres: Candidates must choose 3 centres in order of priority from: Bomdila, Seppa, Itanagar Capital Region, Changlang, Tezu, Pasighat, Papum Pare, Khonsa, Longding, Yingkiong, and others.
- Examination Fee: Non-refundable. Rs. 150 for APST, Rs. 200 for Unreserved. PwD candidates are exempted. Payment online only.
- Preference of Posts: Candidates must indicate preference of posts and departments carefully. Preference once submitted is final and cannot be changed.
- Merit List: Determined as per order of preference indicated by the candidate for particular posts.
- No re-evaluation/re-checking of answer sheets is available.
- Prohibited items: Calculator, Laptop, Palmtop, Mobile/Cell Phone, Pager, Watches, and other digital instruments are not allowed in the examination hall.
