Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Screening of Applications: Applications will be scrutinized and short-listed eligible candidates will be called for Document Verification and Sports Trials.
- Document Verification: Candidates found suitable in document verification will be allowed to appear in the Sports Trial.
- Sports Trial (40 Marks): Trial Committee will assess game skill, physical fitness and coach’s observations. Candidates securing 25 marks or more will be declared FIT; below 25 marks will be declared NOT FIT.
- Assessment of Sports Achievement & Educational Qualification (60 Marks): Only FIT candidates will be assessed by the Recruitment Committee for sports achievements (50 marks) and educational qualification (10 marks). This assessment will be held on the same day or the next day after trials.
- Final Merit List (100 Marks): Trial Committee marks (40) + Recruitment Committee marks (60) = Total 100 marks.

- Sports Achievements Validity: Only sports achievements acquired on or after 01/04/2024 will be considered. The concluding day of the championship/event shall be taken into account.
- Separate Application: Separate application with separate fee is required for each discipline/game.
- Service Bond: Selected candidates must submit a Service Bond of 5 years at the time of appointment.
- Probation Period: 2 years probation period for all selected candidates.
- Sports Performance Obligation: Candidates selected through Sports Quota must perform in their field of sports for a minimum of 5 years. Performance will be assessed during the first two years (probation period).
- Typing Skill: Sports persons recruited as Clerk/Sr. Clerk must pass a typewriting test (English 30 wpm or Hindi 25 wpm) within four years of appointment.
- Volleyball Note: Sports achievements in events conducted by Volleyball Federation of India or its affiliated units after 25.06.2020 shall not be considered. Certificates from Association of Indian Universities and International Federations will be valid.
- Handball Note: Participation and medal-winning performances in events organized by HAI or its affiliated units on or after 05.09.2023 will not be considered. Certificates from Association of Indian Universities and recognized International Sports Federations will be valid.
- Wrestling Note: Certificates of sports achievements issued for events conducted by WFI or its affiliated units after 10.03.2025 shall be considered for recruitment.
- No TA/DA/Accommodation: No travel allowance, daily allowance or accommodation will be provided for appearing in selection trials/assessment. Candidates must bring their own playing kit and may be required to stay for 4-5 days at their own arrangement.
