Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Selection will be made on the basis of acquired academic credentials and performance of the candidate in the Walk-in Interview before the Selection Board.
- For Senior Resident (Dental) and Junior Resident: If the turnout of candidates exceeds 30, a screening test (MCQ-based, in the concerned discipline and ESIC-related) may be conducted at the discretion of the Competent Authority to shortlist candidates. A maximum of three times the number of candidates per vacancy in each category (in order of merit) will be eligible for the walk-in interview.
- Performance in the interview will be the sole criteria for selection; merit in the screening test will not confer any claim to the post.
- Result will be displayed in the Recruitment section of www.esic.gov.in.
- Offer of Appointment will be sent through E-mail only.
- Selected candidates must join as per instructions in the offer of appointment. If a selected candidate does not join within the prescribed time, the waitlisted candidate will be issued the offer.

Other Important Information
- Contract Duration: Teaching Faculty and Senior Residents: Initially 1 year, extendable up to 3 years subject to satisfactory performance, or until regular incumbents join, whichever is earlier. Junior Resident: 1 year only.
- No Private Practice: No private practice is allowed in any capacity after joining.
- Termination: Contract may be terminated from either side with one month’s prior notice. Spot resignation requires deposit of one month’s salary to ESI Account via Challan.
- No Service Benefits: No claim for PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Seniority, Promotion, etc.
- Attendance: Teaching faculty must mark attendance manually and on Aadhar Enabled Bio-metric Attendance System (AEBAS) daily.
- Absence: Absence beyond 7 days without permission will amount to voluntary abandonment and automatic termination.
- Reserved Category Vacancies: If suitable SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates are not available, reserved posts may be filled by other category candidates on a purely temporary contract basis for 44 days.
- Medical Registration: All candidates must have updated NMC/State Medical Council registration. If not updated, copy of ‘Applied for document(s)’ must be submitted at the time of interview.
- NOC: Candidates working in Govt./Autonomous/Statutory institutions should preferably have NOC at the time of interview; otherwise, copy of ‘applied for NOC’ to be submitted.
- OBC Certificate: OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate should not be older than 1 year from the date of interview, issued by an officer not below Sub-Divisional Officer rank, in the format applicable for Central Govt. jobs.
- EWS Certificate: As per Annexure-I of DoPT OM No. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31.01.2019.
- Retired Employees/Pensioners: May draw total pay without deduction and can continue to draw pension and dearness relief during contractual engagement.
- No TA/DA: No travel or daily allowance will be paid for appearing in the interview or submitting documents.
- Vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease as per actual requirement. The Competent Authority reserves the right to amend, cancel, or change the advertisement.
