- Selection will be based entirely on merit basis.

- Duration: 06 months (01 August 2026 to 31 January 2027).
- Stipend: Rs. 5,000/- per month, paid in two installments. First installment paid after 03 months of training. Stipend is not considered salary, wage, or allowance.
- Attendance Requirement: Minimum 15 working days per month of physical attendance at HEMRL is mandatory to retain internship and receive stipend.
- Boarding/Lodging: No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible. Selected candidates can avail lunch, tea, snacks etc. at subsidised rates at HEMRL canteen.
- Completion Certificate: Issued after successful completion of 06 months, including evaluation of project work and submission of project report.
- No Employment Obligation: HEMRL/DRDO has no obligation to offer employment to interns, nor can an intern claim employment rights on the basis of internship completion.
- Incomplete Internship: If a student leaves before completing the internship, no Completion Certificate will be issued. No payment will be made if a student does not complete a tenure of 03 months.
- Documents Required at Joining: NOC from college authorities (original), Police Verification acknowledgement, Undertaking for Indian Official Secrets Act 1923, Undertaking for IT rules of Ministry of Defence, Bank details for stipend transfer, Medical Fitness Certificate (from MBBS doctor), Aadhar Card (original) + College ID Card, 03 passport size photographs, All previous semester marksheets (original for verification).
