- Training Period: Ranges from 12 months to 24 months depending on the trade/discipline (Code 103 – Boiler: 24 months; Code 108 – Secretarial Assistant: 15 months; all others: 12 months).
- No Employment Obligation: Upon completion of apprenticeship, IOCL has NO obligation to offer employment, nor can an apprentice claim employment rights.
- Minimum Marks: 50% aggregate marks required (45% for SC/ST and PwBD candidates for reserved seats). ITI qualification requires only pass marks.
- Age Criteria: Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as on 30.06.2026 for General/EWS candidates. Age proof: Matriculation (Class X) certificate only.
- Ineligible Candidates: Candidates with BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA or equivalent higher qualifications; candidates with job experience of 1 year or more after qualification; candidates who completed their qualification more than 5 years ago; part-time/correspondence/distance education holders are NOT eligible.
- Single Trade Application: A candidate can apply for only ONE trade/discipline. Multiple applications will be summarily rejected.
- B.Sc. Candidates: Can apply for only one of Code 101, 103, or 108. B.Com candidates can apply for only Code 108 or 109.
- Stipend: As per Apprentices Act 1961/1973/Apprentices Rules 1992 (as amended) and Corporation’s guidelines.
- PPE: Apprentices under Codes 101–107 will be provided safety shoes and a helmet (returnable on completion).
- No HRA/Accommodation: No House Rent Allowance or company accommodation will be provided.
- Leave: 32 days general leave (8 days/quarter) + 12 days casual leave per calendar year (pro-rata) + establishment holidays.
