Selection Procedure

- Tenure: Appointment is on tenure basis for a period of 3 years (12 months at a time, continued up to 3 years based on HOD recommendation and Competent Authority discretion).
- Crucial Date: 31.07.2026 for determination of eligibility (age, educational qualification, etc.).
- Posting: All SRs recruited at JIPMER Puducherry shall be posted to work at JIPMER Karaikal Campus on rotation basis for a period not less than 3 months at a stretch.
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years; OBC: 3 years; PwBD (UR/EWS): 10 years; PwBD (OBC): 13 years; PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years.
- PwBD Reservation: 4% on horizontal basis; minimum benchmark disability: 40%.
- Senior Residency Condition: Applicants should not have completed 3 years Senior Residency under Residency schemes in any Govt. medical institution. Duration already done will be reduced from the 3-year tenure offered.
- Joining Time: Selected candidates will be given 15 days to join; extension of 14 days may be granted in exceptional cases. No further extension permitted.
