Selection Procedure

- Written Online Examination: Computer-based objective type test (MCQ) with 4 options per question. Candidates must select the correct answer using the mouse.
- Exam Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes per shift (150 marks per paper).
- Medium: Hindi and English.

- SC/ST/OBC/Divyang/EWS candidates: 50%
- General/Other candidates: 60%

- Upload scanned color photograph, signature, and two lines of handwritten text (self-declaration) as per specified format (JPG format, white background, front-facing photo with both ears visible, not older than 3 months).
- Upload mandatory documents: 8th/10th/12th marksheet (for date of birth proof), caste/category certificate (if applicable), disability certificate (if applicable), original appointment order.
- Write and upload the self-declaration in own handwriting: ‘I declare that all information provided in the application is completely true. If any information is found false or unsatisfactory at any stage, my examination/result may be cancelled.’
- Pay the examination fee online via Credit/Debit Card, Internet Banking, or through authorized MP Online Kiosk.
- After successful payment, note down the application form number and keep the computerized receipt safely.
- Modifications in the application form can be made between 21-08-2026 and 09-09-2026 by paying the modification fee.

- Legal Basis: This examination is conducted as per the Supreme Court of India order dated 01 September 2025 in Civil Appeal 1385/2025 and 1386/2025, and further order in Writ Petition Diary No. 53434/2025, extending the TET qualification deadline from 2 years to 3 years (i.e., by 31st August 2028).
- Mandatory TET: All in-service teachers at primary and secondary level who have not qualified TET must do so by 31st August 2028 to continue in service. Teachers with less than 5 years of service remaining may continue without TET but cannot be promoted without qualifying TET.
- Aadhaar Mandatory: Aadhaar registration is compulsory. Multi-level biometric verification is mandatory at exam entry and during exam. Aadhaar must be unlocked during biometric verification.
- Valid Photo ID: Candidates must bring original photo ID (Voter ID, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, or Passport). E-Aadhaar is valid only if verified by UIDAI. Candidates without original photo ID will not be allowed entry.
- Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, calculators, log tables, digital watches, Bluetooth devices, programmable calculators, watch alarms, listening/paging/recording devices, protectors, compasses, scales, sunglasses, whitener, and any other electronic devices are strictly prohibited in the exam hall.
- Exam Cities: Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Khandwa, Neemuch, Ratlam, Rewa, Sagar, Satna, Sidhi, Ujjain. Candidates must select 4 preferred exam cities in order of priority. Board reserves the right to change/add/remove exam centers.
- Admit Card: Available for download from www.esb.mp.gov.in using application form number. Admit cards will NOT be sent by post.
- Eligibility is Provisional: Eligibility of candidates in the computer-based online exam is entirely provisional. Document verification will be done by the concerned department at the time of appointment.
- UFM/Impersonation: Use of unfair means or impersonation will result in cancellation of candidature and FIR registration. Statistical analysis of exam data may also lead to UFM action.
