Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:

Screening: Candidates will be screened based on aggregate marks obtained in the Inter CA/Inter CMA examination. Shortlisting for Personal Interview will be in the ratio of 1:5.
Personal Interview (Virtual Mode): Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview conducted through Virtual Mode at the respective Unit/Region.
Tie-Breaking Criteria:
1. Candidates with higher marks in Inter CA/Inter CMA examination will be placed higher in the merit list.
2. If both interview marks and Inter CA/Inter CMA marks are equal, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher.
3. In the rarest case of equal marks and equal age, merit list will be prepared based on alphabetical order of Name (First Name, Middle Name, Surname).
Medical Examination: Candidates shall be engaged after qualifying the standard Medical Examination.
Certificate Verification: Original documents and self-attested copies are required to be produced at the time of Certificate Verification.
Police Verification: Trainees shall be engaged based on Police Verification certificate issued by District Police authorities.

Other Important Information

Internship Tenure: 12 months, extendable up to a further 12 months on a case-to-case basis subject to student performance and Institute requirements.
Monthly Stipend: Rs. 20,000/- per month. An additional Rs. 5,000/- per month will be provided if accommodation is not available at the Unit/HQ.
Leave Entitlement: 1 day paid leave per month (12 days for a full year). Pro-rata for extended period. Absence beyond admissible leave will result in proportionate stipend deduction.
Working Hours: 8 hours per day (including 1 hour lunch break), 5 days a week in General shift.
Accommodation: Suitable accommodation (single room or bare minimum) provided at Units on payment of Normal License fee. Rs. 5,000/- per month in lieu of accommodation if unavailable.
Other Facilities: Free site transportation (subject to availability); free OPD and First Aid medical facility.
Regular Employment: Completion of training does not obligate NPCIL to offer regular employment.
Employer’s Liability: NPCIL is liable to pay compensation for personal injury during training as per the Employees’ Compensation Act, 1923.
