Selection Procedure

  1. Trials (Physical/Game Skill Assessment): All eligible candidates will be called for trials. The Trial Committee will assess game skill, physical fitness, and coach’s observation. Maximum marks: 40. Candidates securing 25 or more marks will be declared FIT and considered for the next stage. Candidates scoring below 25 will be declared NOT FIT and will not proceed further.
  2. Assessment of Sports Achievements: Only FIT candidates from trials will be assessed for recognised sports achievements as per norms. Maximum marks: 50.
  3. Educational Qualification Assessment: Maximum marks: 10.
  4. Total Marks: 100 (Trials: 40 + Sports Achievements: 50 + Educational Qualification: 10).

    • Level-5/4 (Grade Pay 2800/2400): 70 marks
    • Level-3/2 (Grade Pay 2000/1900): 65 marks

  • Service Bond: Sportspersons recruited against Sports Quota shall execute a Service Bond for a period of 5 years.
  • Probation Period: Recruited sportspersons shall be on probation for 2 years. If performance is unsatisfactory, probation may be extended up to a further 2 years. Services may be terminated if performance remains unsatisfactory after extended probation.
  • Sports Achievements Period: Recognised sports achievements should be on or after 01-04-2024 to the date of notification (26-09-2026).
