Age Limit:

As of the date of notification, candidates applying for the Southern Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2024 should adhere to the following age criteria:

• Freshers: Minimum age of 15 years and a maximum age of 22 years.
• Ex-M, MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician): Maximum age of 24 years.

Age Relaxation:

• OBC Candidates: Upper age limit relaxable by 3 years.
• SC/ST Candidates: Upper age limit relaxable by 5 years.
• Persons with Disability (PwBD): Upper age limit relaxable by 10 years.

1. Fitter:

• Academic/Technical Qualification: Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under the 10+2 System of education.
• Period of Training in Railway Establishment: Two Years

2. Welder (Gas & Electric):

• Academic/Technical Qualification: Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under the 10+2 System of education.
• Period of Training in Railway Establishment: One Year and Three Months

3. Medical Laboratory Technicians:

• Academic/Technical Qualification: Passed 12th class examination under the 10+2 system of education with physics, chemistry, and biology (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks).
• Period of Training in Railway Establishment: One Year and Three Months

Note:

• Minimum 50% marks in SSLC is not applicable for SC/ST/PwBD Candidates.
• Candidates with higher qualifications such as Diploma/Degree, Engineering, Polytechnic, and those who have already completed a Course as Act Apprentices in Railway Establishments are NOT eligible to apply.
• Candidates should have already passed the prescribed qualification on the date of the issue of the Notification. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination and those awaiting the result of the qualifying examination are not eligible to apply.
