Selection Procedure:

  1. Applications received by the due date will be screened/scrutinized in 3 (three) stages.
  2. The list of eligible and ineligible candidates will be displayed on the university website: www.vikramdevuniversity.ac.in.
  3. A maximum of 15 candidates in case of a single post and candidates in the ratio of 1:10 for multiple posts will be called for interview based on scores secured during scrutiny (Table 3A of Appendix-II for Assistant Professor; Table 2 of Appendix-II for Associate Professor and Professor as per UGC Notification dated 18th July, 2018).
  4. Screening, scrutiny, shortlisting and subsequent selection will be made as per UGC Regulations Notification No. F.1-2/2017(EC/PS), New Delhi, 18th July 2018, supported by AICTE/NCTE and Statute of the University as applicable.
  5. The selection committee composition will be as per UGC Regulations Notification No. F.1-2/2017(EC/PS), New Delhi, 18th July 2018.

  1. Visit the HIMS portal at https://himsrecruitment.odisha.gov.in/ (available from 12.05.2026 onwards).
  2. Fill in the online application form completely in all respects along with supporting documents.
  3. Pay the application processing fee online (Non-Refundable): UR/SEBC: Rs. 2000/-; ST/SC/PwD/Women: Rs. 1000/-.
  4. Submit the online application before the closing date of 10.06.2026 (11:59 PM).
  5. Download and take a signed printout of the submitted application form.
  6. Send the signed hard copy along with all certificates, mark sheets, and documents through Registered/Speed Post only to: The Registrar, Vikram Dev University, Jeypore, Dist-Koraput, Odisha, PIN-764001, so as to reach on or before 20.06.2026 by 5:00 PM.
  7. The envelope must be superscribed as ‘APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ___ vide Advertisement No. ___ Dated ___’.
  8. Candidates applying for more than one post must apply separately for each post and pay the application fee for each post.
  9. In-service candidates must forward the hard copy through proper channel with a No Objection Certificate (NOC).

  • Reservation: Overall Horizontal Reservation: 33% for Women, 4% for PwD, and 1% for Sports Persons within vertical reservation quota as per Govt. of Odisha norms.
  • Age Limit: Candidates above 60 years are not eligible to apply. Superannuation age is 60 years.
  • Date of Birth Proof: Only Matriculation/SSC certificate/pass certificate issued by the concerned educational board will be accepted as proof of date of birth.
  • Caste Certificate: SC/ST/SEBC candidates must submit valid caste certificate as per Govt. of Odisha guidelines and format.
  • PwD Certificate: Candidates applying under PwD category must submit Disability Certificate issued by competent authority in the format prescribed by Govt. of Odisha/India.
  • Research Experience: Period spent acquiring M.Phil. and/or Ph.D. degree shall not be considered as research experience.
  • In-Service Candidates: Must forward hard copy through proper channel with No Objection Certificate (NOC).
  • Application Fee: Non-refundable. UR/SEBC: Rs. 2000/-; ST/SC/PwD/Women: Rs. 1000/-. Applications without applicable fee will be summarily rejected.
  • Separate Application: Candidates applying for more than one post must apply separately for each post and pay the application fee for each.
  • Hard Copy Submission: Only through Registered/Speed Post. Courier/ordinary post/hand delivery not accepted.
  • University Rights: The University reserves the right to not fill up any or some of the advertised vacancies, to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication, and to revise/reschedule/cancel/suspend the advertisement/recruitment process without assigning any reason.
  • Jurisdiction: In case of any disputes, jurisdiction shall be restricted to Courts in Jeypore, Koraput district, Odisha.
  • Canvassing: Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
  • Exchange of Reservation: Not permitted.
