Selection Procedure

- Stage I – Written Test (Qualifying in nature): Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type test for all positions, including subject concerned at Graduation level, General Awareness, General Intelligence, Aptitude & General English. Maximum Marks: 50. Cut-off marks will be fixed by the Competent Authority. Date: 21.05.2026, Reporting Time: 09:30 AM, Test Time: 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM, Venue: Triple Helix Auditorium, CLRI.
- Stage II – Personal Interview: For candidates who qualify in the Written Test. Dates: 25.05.2026 & 26.05.2026. Exact time will be intimated in due course.
- Exemption from Written Test: Applicants who have qualified in NET/GATE or national level exams conducted by CSIR/DBT/DST/ICMR/IIT/IISc/IISER/UGC/ICAR etc. need not appear for the Written Test and can directly attend the Personal Interview.

- These are purely temporary positions co-terminus with the respective projects.
- The tenure is up to 31.03.2027, extendable subject to project requirements.
- As per CSIR guidelines, the total tenure of project staff shall not exceed 6/7 years (as applicable). Applicants who have completed 6/7 years in any CSIR Lab/Institute as Project Staff are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.
- Age relaxation: SC/ST/PwBD/Women – 5 years; OBC – 3 years, as per Govt. of India instructions.
- Final year/semester students awaiting results are NOT ELIGIBLE.
