Selection Procedure:

  1. Administrative Screening: Verification of identity, age, essential & higher qualifications, length of suitable experience, and availability of CCA Declaration (wherever applicable).
  2. Technical Screening Level-1 (Biodata-based): Shortlisting based on relevance of suitable experience w.r.t. advertised qualifications, relevance of Desirable/Higher Qualification, or any other criteria suggested by the Technical Screening Committee. Candidates are shortlisted in a predefined ratio (up to 24 candidates per vacancy / up to 48 for two vacancies).
  3. Technical Screening Level-2 – Preliminary Online Interview (if required): Short duration online interview (10-15 minutes) if the number of candidates shortlisted at Level-1 is large. Candidates shortlisted in predefined ratio (up to 12 per vacancy / up to 24 for two vacancies) for Final Personal Interview.
  4. Final Personal Interview: Conducted in-person at RAC, Delhi before the Selection Board. Candidates must score a minimum of 75% marks (75 out of 100) for consideration for selection. Final selection is purely on the basis of merit in the Final Personal Interview.

Note: If administrative screening does not result in a minimum of 6 eligible candidates per vacancy, the recruitment process for that vacancy may be cancelled. If technical screening does not result in sufficient candidates for Final Personal Interview, vacancies may be reduced or the process cancelled.

  • Career Progression: DRDO provides career growth under the Flexible Complimenting Scheme (FCS) where promotion is delinked from vacancy availability. Meritorious candidates can rise through periodic merit-based assessments.

    • Up to 10 years for Divyang/PwD candidates
    • Up to 5 years for serving Civilian Central Govt. Employees with at least 3 years of continuous regular service in same/allied cadres
