- Written Test (MCQ): Objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) based CBRT/OMR examination. Total 100 questions, 200 marks (2 marks each). Duration: 3 hours. Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (80 out of 200). Syllabus weightage: General Knowledge 25%, General Mathematics 12.5%, Gujarati Language 12.5%, Environment & Ecology/Forestry/Wildlife/Natural Resources/Wood-based Industries/Geographical Factors 50%.
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Qualifying in nature. Candidates scoring minimum 40% in written test (up to 15 times the vacancies) are called for PFT. Standards include 1600m run (Male: 6 min), 800m run (Female: 4 min), High Jump, Long Jump, Pull-ups, Rope Climbing etc.
- Document Verification: Candidates qualifying PFT are called for document verification (up to 2 times the vacancies in merit order).
- Walking Test: Selected candidates must complete a walking test: Male – 25 km in 4 hours; Female – 14 km in 4 hours.
- Final Merit List: Prepared based on written test marks plus additional weightage for Sports, NCC ‘C’ Certificate, B.Sc. Forestry, and Widow candidates as applicable.
