Other Important Information
- Scheme: Engagement is under the sub-scheme ACROSS (Atmospheric and Climate Research Modelling, Observing Systems and Services) of the Prithvi Vigyan (PRITHVI) scheme, now a component of Mission Mausam Scheme.
- Tenure: Initially for one (01) year or coterminous with the Scheme, whichever is earlier. May be extended up to a maximum of five (05) years after superannuation.
- Nature of Engagement: Purely on contract basis; does not confer any right for regular appointment.
- Pension: Retired Government servants engaged as consultants shall continue to draw pension and Dearness Relief (DR) during the period of engagement.
- Working Hours: Normal office timing; may be required to attend on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays in case of exigencies.
- Leave: Paid leave at the rate of 1.5 days for each completed month of service; accumulation beyond a calendar year not allowed.
- Remuneration: Fixed monthly amount = Last pay drawn at retirement minus basic pension. No increment, percentage increase, or Dearness Allowance during contract period.
- Transport Allowance: Fixed amount not exceeding the rate applicable at the time of retirement. TA/DA on official tour as per entitlement at retirement.
- No HRA or any other allowance shall be admissible during the contract period.
- Confidentiality: Consultant must sign a Non-Disclosure Undertaking (Annexure III). IPR of data and deliverables remains with the Department.
- Conflict of Interest: Consultant shall not represent or advise others in any matter adverse to the Department’s interest.
- Disciplinary Condition: No disciplinary proceedings should be pending against the applicant.
