Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Written Test (Computer Based Test – CBT): Objective type written examination covering theoretical and practical knowledge. The syllabus for Primary Teacher and TGT posts is as per Annexure-A. The question paper consists of 180 marks covering: Part-I (Language Proficiency – General English & General Hindi), Part-II (General Awareness, Reasoning & Computer Proficiency), Part-III (Perspective on Education and Leadership), and Part-IV (Subject Specific). For TGT (Telugu), a separate scheme of 180 marks applies. Minimum qualifying marks: 40% in each subject and 50% aggregate for TGT (Maths) and TGT (Science). The CBT will be conducted in 22 cities across India.
- Shortlisting for Skill Test: Based on Written Test performance, candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio (minimum 10 candidates category-wise) for the Skill Test.
- Skill Test (Qualifying in nature): Chalk and board-based test to assess teaching skills. Evaluated on 100 points scale. Minimum qualifying marks: 60 out of 100. Each candidate will be given a subject-oriented topic and must demonstrate subject knowledge and teaching ability by handling a class.
- Final Selection: Based purely on marks obtained in the Written Test, from among candidates who qualify the Skill Test. Empanelment done in order of Written Test marks subject to number of vacancies. In case of tie: 1st tie-breaker is academic scores of essential qualification (Post-graduation/Graduation/Senior Secondary); 2nd tie-breaker is age (senior candidate placed ahead).

- Place of Posting: Currently SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota, but selected candidates are liable to be posted at any ISRO/Department of Space centre/unit in India.
