Other Important Information
- Contract Duration: Teaching Faculty: 1 year initially, extendable up to 3 years (maximum tenure till 70 years of age or joining of regular faculty, whichever is earlier). Senior Resident/Tutor: 1 year initially, extendable up to 3 years (terminated on joining of regular incumbent or attainment of 50 years of age, whichever is earlier).
- Security Deposit: Rs. 20,000/- via Demand Draft payable to ‘ESI Fund A/c No. 1’ at Surat, to be submitted upon joining. Refundable on successful completion of contract and submission of No Dues Certificate. Forfeited if resignation within 6 months of joining.
- No Private Practice: No private practice is allowed in any capacity after joining as teaching faculty at ESIC Medical College & Hospital Surat.
- No Service Benefits: Contractual appointees are not entitled to PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Seniority, Promotion, or similar perks.
- Hostel/Quarters: Provision of hostel accommodation/quarters will be made to the extent possible; cannot be claimed as a matter of right. If availed, no HRA will be payable.
- Attendance: Attendance must be recorded both manually and through Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) daily. Absence exceeding 7 days without prior approval will be treated as voluntary abandonment.
- Resignation Notice: One month advance notice or deposit of one month’s salary equivalent required for resignation.
- Vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease as per actual requirement.
- Retired/Working Professors may also apply for eligible posts.
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview or submission of documents.
