KARTET 2024 Qualification Criteria

For Classes 1 – 5 (Paper – I):



  • PUC/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year D.El.Ed program (by whatever name known) OR a 4th-year B.El.Ed program OR a 2-year D.Ed program in Special Education OR a BA/B.Sc with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year D.Ed program (by whatever name known).

For Classes 6 – 8 (Paper – II):

  • BA/B.Sc with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year D.El.Ed program (by whatever name known) OR a 2-year B.Ed program OR a 4-year B.El.Ed program OR final year B.Ed program in Special Education OR PUC/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed program.

KARTET 2024 Instructions

  1. Candidates who wish to apply for the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test-2024 can do so between April 15, 2024, and May 15, 2024, via the official website of the Department of School Education Karnataka at schooleducation.karnataka.gov.in.
  2. After filling out all the required information in the online application form completely, candidates should print the computer-generated copy of the application, which will include their registration number and full details.
  3. If a candidate submits more than one application, they must pay a separate fee for each fresh application.

  • Internet Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/State Bank of India Challan should be used for payment.
  • Once the Examination fee is paid will not be refunded or adjusted towards any other further examination under any circumstances.
  • To avoid last-minute internet, server related technical issues it is prudent to apply well before the time.
  • The downloaded online application should be kept safe for future correspondence.
  • After two days you can contact Central Enrollment Unit if there is still pending payment status on your side.
