MP SET 2024 Minimum Educational Qualification
- Candidates who have completed postgraduation from a university or educational institution established by a Central Act or State Act, or a university under the University Grants Commission, 1956 (Notification No. 03 of 1956), or are in the final year of postgraduation/postgraduation third/postgraduation fourth semester are eligible.
- Minimum 55 percent marks in postgraduate degree for unreserved category candidates and reserved category candidates (Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes – except creamy layer – of Madhya Pradesh). Disabled candidates must have 50 percent marks.
- EWS category candidates must have a minimum of 55 percent marks in the postgraduate degree, following UGC instructions similar to unreserved category candidates.
- Candidates in their final year or awaiting results of postgraduation exams (third or fourth semester) are provisionally eligible.
- Provisionally eligible candidates must obtain a minimum of 55 percent marks in their postgraduate degree within two years of the MP SET result declaration (unreserved category). Reserved category and disabled candidates need to score a minimum of 50 percent marks.
- Ph.D. degree holders completing postgraduation before September 19, 1991, receive a 5 percent relaxation in the educational qualification (55 percent to 50 percent).
