ISRO SAC Scientist/Engineer Recruitment 2026 – 49 Vacancies

Age Limit & Relaxation:

• Serving Central Govt. Employees, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) and Ex-Serviceman etc. are eligible for upper age relaxation as per extant Govt. of India rules/orders.

How to Apply:

• Applications will be received on-line through ISRO Live Register portal only.
• Candidates are advised to either register or update their registrations in the Live Register portal of ISRO https://www.isro.gov.in (under career tab) on or before 12.02.2026 (1700 hours).
• The link for online registration will be hosted on SAC websites https://www.sac.gov.in or https://careers.sac.gov.in from 23.01.2026 (1000 Hrs) to 12.02.2026 (1700 Hrs).
• After online registration, applicants will receive an online Registration Number.
• Candidates are advised to take a printout/screenshot of the online application for future reference. Site will not be open for printing application summary after 1700 hours of 12.02.2026.
• Online application once submitted cannot be edited. Verify all details before final submission.
• E-mail ID of the applicant must be provided correctly and compulsorily. E-Admit Card for Written Test/Personal Interview will be sent through e-mail only.

Guidelines for Uploading Photo, Signature and Documents:

• Application submitted without uploading the requisite documents will be treated as invalid.

Refund of Application Fee:

• Refund in full for candidates who are exempted from payment of Application Fee (women, SC/ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen) and appear in the written test.
• Other candidates who appear in the written test will be refunded ₹500 after deducting the application fee of ₹250.
• Candidates must enter their Bank Account details correctly for receipt of refund. SAC (ISRO) shall not be held responsible for incorrect bank account details.
• Refund will not be considered if a candidate fails to appear for the Written Test.

Initial Place of Posting:

• The incumbents are liable to be posted in any of the Centres/Units of ISRO or Department of Space situated anywhere in India as and when required.

Documents to Bring at Written Test:

• Any valid Government issued photo Identification proof in original (not photocopy or scanned copy).
• Printed copy of E-Admit Card sent on your email ID (Soft Copy Not Allowed).

Documents to Bring at Personal Interview:

• For PwBD candidates: Original certificate of disability in the prescribed format clearly indicating the percentage of disability, issued by Medical Board consisting of at least 3 members out of which one shall be a specialist in the particular field for assessing the disability, duly constituted by Central or a State Government. Degree of disability should be minimum 40%.
• For all candidates: Original documents in proof of the details furnished in their online application for verification.
• For candidates with foreign degrees: Equivalency certificate issued by Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
• For employed candidates: ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employer concerned. Candidates who gain/change employment after applying must inform the employer and mandatorily submit NOC at the time of Personal Interview. Failure to submit NOC will result in not being permitted to appear in the interview and no TA will be paid.

Tie-Breaking Criteria (Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’):

1. Marks scored in the Written test.
2. Marks scored in essential qualification (as notified in the advertisement).
3. Date of Birth, with older candidates placed higher.

• Candidates who have pursued professional course through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) are not eligible.
• The prescribed qualification against each post should have been completed within the stipulated duration of the course as prescribed by the University.

• Option to give the Written Test/Interview in Hindi is available to the candidates.
• Any legal proceedings in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this advertisement can be instituted in Ahmedabad; and the Courts at Ahmedabad only shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction.
• In case of any ambiguity/dispute arising on account of interpretation of any clause either in Hindi/English of this advertisement, the decision of SAC will be final.
